No other company has been making enthusiast PCs as long as Falcon Northwest. We've been building elite PCs for power-users and gamers since 1992. This long tenure has given us a uniquely long-term perspective in an industry known only for fast-paced, throw-away technology. We're still supporting systems we built a decade ago and building systems for the next decade. We've had a long time to get very good at what we do.
"As other companies flood the market with cheap competitors and budget builds, few have stayed true to their mission as staunchly as Falcon"
- Digital Trends
Our systems don't have model A, B, or C. In fact, almost no two PCs we build are identical. Because each of our clients has their own idea of a dream machine, we custom build each of our systems for their user. While we provide example systems like those that you'll see in press reviews, you are free to pick and choose exactly the hardware that will meet your needs, right down to printing your own company logo on it if you desire. Everything from the component loadout to the RescueDrive to the laser-etched nameplate are created specifically for you.
"Falcon Northwest continues to edge out their competition with thoughtful design, attention to detail, and uncompromising performance."
The case is the critical framework for how your PC looks, and how well it cools your components. But few smaller PC builders take the time and tooling expense to design them anymore. Most just grab an off-the shelf case that you can get anywhere. The giant PC corporations mass produce their cases to be the cheapest sheet-metal and plastic boxes that an assembly line can crank out. Falcon PCs are different. Our unique case designs are the pride of our company, precisely engineered and constantly refined as the needs of the technology in them change. They're made with thick, quality metals, with as little plastic as possible. And each Falcon case model's form follows its function, not a price target.
"Falcon Northwest sort of hits it out of the park again. This is the difference when you have an enthusiast that owns the company designing stuff."
The way we build used to be considered "old-school". Now with the popularity of artisan products, our production method is back in fashion. We've been around longer than the labels. For us, it’s just the way we’ve always done it: one technician building one system specifically for one client. It's a decidedly labor-intensive and time-consuming way to produce technology products, but we believe that the finer things in life are made by caring hands.
"the fit and finish of the Tiki – it bears more in common to fine Swiss watches than it does to the plastic, corner cutting machines you’ll see lining the aisles of Best Buy."
We take our hardware quality very seriously. Our clientele includes many organizations doing mission-critical work. From calculating the orbits for a Jupiter space probe like JPL, performing forensic analysis like our law enforcement clients, or the “they could tell us what they’re doing but then they’d have to kill us” work our military and defense contractor clients do, they all need PCs they can depend on. So we treat every build like it's mission critical, and we test our hardware like no one else. Every system gets three days of exhaustive “burn-in” torture testing to weed out any weak components, ensuring you’re delivered only the best hardware possible. We simulate months of stress using synthetic and real-world apps, and we perform hundreds of quality checks and benchmark tests. And we give you the checklists to prove it.
"Falcon's attention to detail is legendary, these guys are the pioneers of the gaming PC after all"
- Firing Squad
Falcon Northwest is located in Medford, Oregon where all of our PCs are designed, assembled, sold, shipped and supported. Most PC component suppliers, even other Oregon-based companies we use like Intel, have their parts manufacturing done overseas. But we keep what we can here in the US whenever possible. A lot of PC companies have sent their technical support jobs overseas. We don't believe in that. And we don't believe an outside technical support company can ever support you like the people that built the PC in the first place. We know our systems. We support our systems - right here.
"I have owned 5 Falcon systems over the last 20 years... The few times I have needed tech support, it is outstanding. It is US based, and these people know their systems. Whether it takes a half hour or 3 or more they will spend what ever time is required."
- James G. Paul, from a Google review
Although we forged a reputation in the '90s as the first into the gaming PC market for individual users, our reliability and service has brought us a lot of larger clientele as well. Corporate, military, aerospace, game development, virtual reality, visual effects, medical and university clients all use Falcon PCs where off-the-shelf systems won't do.
"We’ve worked with Falcon since the very beginning of Oculus. We built the Oculus platform with Falcon PCs and used their Tikis in nearly every early demo. These are some of the toughest and most beloved PCs among the gaming community. "
Over the years we've had the privilege to work for some very fun clients. From movie stars to CEOs & athletes, to the game-developer heroes who started it all for us.
"I've been a long time customer of Falcon Northwest for my personal and work machines. These are machines I buy for myself, not machines that Valve buys. Big fan of Falcon"
- Gabe Newell, President of Valve
