The extra inches and multiple fans mean that the days of cool running, miserably weak power supplies are over.

The FragBox 2 isn't much bigger (about 2 inches wider and deeper) than it's older sibling, but our review unit's slick looks, top-of-the-line components, and desktop PC-crushing benchmarks prove that it is way, way badder.

The new Box is the same height as the old one, but is two inches wider and two inches longer... This extra room means Falcon can build FragBox 2s that are every bit as fast as the company's full-sized, high-end Mach V systems.

Falcon Northwest starts from the ground up and builds an awesome 'transportable'

...the FragBox 2 isn't so much a small form-factor PC as it is a standard PC, only smaller. We put the FragBox 2 through our standard barrage of benchmarks ... None of the games we threw at the machine challenged it.

A shining example of Falcon's prowess is the Mach V Icon Exotix.

The machine booted quickly and ate it's way through the benchmarks without a single crash or glitch. The first (advantage) is a new custom designed water-cooling scheme that vents hot air out the top of the case ... through a massive radiator.

    Maximum PC's Kick Ass Product

It's performance is even more amazing when you consider the size of the FragBox 2.

What gives this system an advantage over all the prebuilt SFF designs we've previously reviewed ... is the 520W power supply Falcon Northwest managed to stuff into the FragBox 2. This allows you to install damn near any new piece of hot new hardware you want.

Year in and year out Falcon Northwest builds some of the absolute best machines money can buy.

The new Mach V crushes the GeForce 6800 Ultra benchmark scores we got on our 3GHz test rig last month, and it annihilates the extremely powerful Athlon 64 3400+, RADEON 9800 XT-based Voodoo PC from our April/1/2004 issue - nearly doubling it's performance in certain test.

... the Mach V scored the fastest framerates in every game we tested. That's right - every single one.

It should come as no surprise that the Mach V is a screamer. In fact, it posted the fastest 3D GameGauge 3.5 scores at both 1280x960 and 1600c1200. But that doesn't do this machine justice.

In terms of gaming performance, the FragBox Pro performs like just about every Falcon that's come before it: fast and stable. In 3D GameGuage, it turned in scores that rival full-sized desktop systems, and all seven games stayed at playable framerates even at 1600x1200x32.

What's not to like about the FragBox? Well nothing according to Computer Games. The FragBox won a prestigious Editor's Choice award and 4.5 out of 5 stars in a nine system head-head. It's perfect for gamers with limited space, like in a dorm room, and it's even better for anyone wanting a portable gaming solution for those weekend LAN parties.
