I recently purchased another Talon as my home computer. I decided to stay with your company because of the experience I had with my first Talon, which lasted a whopping eight years. Eight years of leaving the computer on all the time, restarting occasionally to refresh, and near-constant use of almost every component. Not one of the original pieces of hardware in the computer ever broke (including hundreds of hours of burning DVDs, CDs, etc.). People kept telling me the fan would go and my computer would melt down, but the fan never slowed its fierce work ethic from day one. The computer became a little experiment among friends to see how long I could avoid buying a new computer, while some of my friends had already been through two in seven years. By the time year eight had arrived, a new computer was needed; not because anything had broken in it, but because everything was finally reaching that point where time has passed the components by. That being said, I managed to go eight years without ever purchasing a single upgrade for anything inside my Talon, and it still sits quietly in a closet should it ever need to be called up to work for us again. Lastly, your system-restore-disc saved me twice in those eight years, and worked exactly as described. How could I not go with Falcon Northwest again?
Ironically, we don’t use our Talon primarily as a gaming machine. Instead, we have two teachers in the household relying on this computer every day as their workhorse. At any given time there are fifteen to thirty windows for various programs open, which the previous computer and my new one handle with ease. A system failure with a loss of legal documents such as attendance\discipline records, district logs, lesson plans, etc. would be unacceptable, so we need a computer we can trust. Our new Talon has RAID backup, but for the past eight years we were using less reliable methods of backup, so we put a lot of faith in the name Falcon Northwest, and it has never let us down. Everything about the new computer works perfectly, and customer service was impeccable during the ordering process.
Keep up the good work, and I’ll be back for another in ten years.
